With the publication of the book "Mission for My Homeland" by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in September 1960, which can be considered as his autobiography and memoirs, some issues were raised for the first time that had not been mentioned before. According to Article 35 of the Iranian Constitution, he considered his monarchy a "Divine Gift", believed that God had chosen him and given him the mission to rule over the land and people of Iran.

The Everlasting Upright Men in History

“How many times did you ask about that?” I said, “Their state was clarified. The nation and their representatives in the Islamic Consultative Assembly did it. Would it be better than this? Do they spend bad conditions? You killed our young men in American prisons, but these live in the embassy hotel, what the hell do you want? During this period, it was attempted to treat them in accordance with the Islamic ...

Book Review: Alam Flatteries

Asadollah Alam Memory of Ghostwriting to Approve and Praise Royal Actions

In his notes, Asadollah Alam, Minister of the Mohammad Reza Pahlavi Court, mentions the flattering and special action of Abdolazim Valian, one of the cabinet ministers, which is noteworthy. In fact, writing various books in praise and description of royal actions has been prevalent and pervasive in the history of the rule of kings; especially since the kings were very pleased to witness such writings. Ghostwriting also flourished in the Pahlavi period.

A Piece of "Lasting Memories"

History of Establishment of Islamic Republic Party

I have been thinking about creating an Islamic political party and society for many years ago. Especially after the 1953 and coup detat of August 19, 1953, and given the experience I gained from the National Movement of Iran in 1950-1953, I hardly believed that our forces should become an active Islamic political organization. Hearing news of Islamic political organizations from other societies was interesting for me.

Review of Mullah Saleh Qaris Memoirs

The Story of Organizing Arabic Radio Programs

The fragrance of freedom could be smelled everywhere. No matter it was day or night, I worked with all my might. I [Mullah Saleh] was also a member of the Abadan Revolutionary Council, which was governed by Haj Agha Jami. I had sat next to Sheikh Isa Tarafi. With a pen and paper in his hand, he turned to me and said: Do you know what your most important job is now?

Nader Nofar Memoirs of Schools Contributions to the Fronts

We thought that we should approach the issue more prudently, when it got serious to contribute to the front. We consulted with Mr. Ahmadipour and Mr. Khojasteh and a few other friends and focused on two points; first, aids should not be scattered and the other is that aids should be commensurate with the real needs of the combatants. The second point was very important. If we were to send, for example, ...

Revolution is like Our Child

Previously, I was not very familiar with the position of marketers, especially guilds active in local markets; until 2004-2010, while preparing and compiling the memoirs of Hajj Mohammad Arab, one of the pre-revolutionary fighters and officials and ambassadors after the revolution, I became acquainted with Hajj Hossein Soleimani, a militant marketer and an intermediary between Qom marketer and other militant groups. Although in those days I was able to complete the book by conducting numerous interviews with about 50 persons;

Excerpts from the oral memoirs of Mohammad Multaji

A Narrative of a Trip to Kurdistan

After taking a training course, we were to be sent to Kurdistan for a two-month mission. We had already been familiar with Kurdistan and Sanandaj through photos and news; we had seen photos of the beheaded bodies of the Revolutionary Guards and news of Komala and Democrat crimes against the captured Revolutionary Guards. I was coming from the shrine to the water tower. People were gathered on the sidewalk, looking at a wall newspaper.

Operation Beit al-Moqaddas and Liberation of Khorramshahr

After Operation Fat’h al-Mobin, we traveled to Kermanshah and visited Sar-e-Pol-e-Zahab before heading to Ilam. During Operation Beit al-Moqaddas, the 27th Brigade was still receiving support from the West. We maintained contact with individuals who had previously worked in Area 7 and were now leading the brigade. It was through these connections that I learned about Operation Beit al-Moqaddas.

The Necessity of Receiving Feedback in Oral History

Whenever we engage in a task, we naturally seek ways to evaluate our performance — to correct shortcomings and enhance strengths. Such refinement is only possible through the feedback we receive from others. Consider, for instance, a basketball player whose shots are consistently accurate; should he begin shooting blindfolded, his success rate would rapidly decline, as he would be deprived of essential feedback from each attempt.
