What Was the Decision of That Night?!

After breaking the siege of Paveh, I visited Imam to report. While reporting the outcomes of some activities and movements, I spoke about the participation of IRGC forces in the liberation of Paveh, and I informed him that it was a good and triumphant operation, but unfortunately, we had a few martyrs and several have been captured by the Komala. I told Imam that the Komala had asked money for releasing the captives.

I had not finished my report yet, when Imam asked, "sister Tahereh! You didn’t say anything in your report about the decision of that night?" I was surprised and startled, and I was much embarrassed and looked down and kept silent. "What was the matter?" Imam asked again. I explained him the circumstances that led us to make such a decision, while I was embarrassed. Knowing that we had no ill will in making such a decision and our purpose was to accelerate the liberation of Paveh, Imam finally said: "From now on, inform the authorities about your military decision-makings." I said, ‘yes, Sir.’ and asked for forgiveness.

After that meeting, I was ashamed and saddened and I blamed myself for our action which had gotten upset Imam and had made him dissatisfied. When I went to Hamadan, I gathered all the brothers, who had taken part at that night's meeting and in the process of "the night raid to the army ammunitions" decision-making, and asked them, ‘Is there anyone among you who has informed Imam Khomeini?’ They looked at each other and then swore that they did not tell anyone about the decision. This matter agitated me. Therefore, I learned a big lesson in my life: "I will never move ahead of my Imam, my leader.

Yellow scorpion

In the western region, in addition to confronting with anti-revolutionary movements and identifying and dealing with any conspiracy against the Islamic Republic regime, we also protected people’s lives, properties, and honor. We must confront with non-political movements such as, smuggling, viciousness, theft, and immortality, in which ultimately, of course, a political goal was concealed.

A group called "Yellow Scorpion" was discovered and destroyed in Hamadan. It was a corrupt band and had corrupted many students and adolescents. They also worked in other border towns of Iran (like Zahedan) and northern areas, and they committed crimes.

The "Yellow Scorpion" criminal gang kidnapped skillfully little boys in path to school way and after raping and encroaching and doing other obscene actions, they killed them and annihilated their bodies.

The activities of "yellow scorpion" band were very shocking and shameless, indicating a psychological disorder. They practiced their dirty intentions in the suburb of the city, at a ruined fold. They brought the kidnapped boys with donkeys and mules, chained their hands and legs, raped them, and then killed them horribly and buried them in the holes they had dug there.

The "Yellow Scorpion" members were very professional and did not leave any trace behind. The IRGC forces worked very hard to identify them and after complete pursuit, they were arrested and punished them.

Their leader said that they called their band "yellow scorpion" because the black scorpion kill any alive being when bite them, but the yellow scorpion do not kill at once, but take their life gradually; and their strategy was like that.

After arresting them, the people of the city, who were angry with their criminal acts, did not stand anymore and asked us to punish them quickly. Therefore, I went to Tehran and took the death sentence of the band leader Mr. Ghodousi and returned to Hamadan at night.

But I had a bad accident near Hamadan and two of my cervical vertebrae were broken. I was in a bad condition and therefore I was transferred to Tehran from Hamadan with a plane. I was under treatment for some time. When I was in hospital, the death sentence of the leader of ‘yellow scorpion’ band was executed and the hearts of the families of the victims and the people of the city were healed somehow.

Riots And Putting Them down in Hamadan

As the activity of small groups drove into a corner in the center and some of the cities of Iran, the west of the country became safe places for some expelled small groups for hiding. In Hamadan, also, some hypocrites had hidden among the people, and they occasionally instigated people to express dissatisfaction under different pretexts.

In the first steps of reforming in the Islamic Republic, the old system of education was supposed to be rescinded and the new system was replaced. By implementing this plan, those who did not get their high school diploma in the previous years faced with some problems. Hence, those who studied in the sixth grade of high school and did not get their passing grade were allowed to take part in final exam for the last chance.

The students were not pleased with this decision and they protested. They gathered in front of the department of education to show their opposition and protest and shouted "grade, grade" slogan. To prevent a critical situation, we appointed a number of Revolutionary Guards to stand in front of the department of education to prevent entering of the protesters in group.

It was agreed that some representatives entered the department to propound their concerns and problems with authorities. The representatives asked the authorities to treat with leniency and give them passing grade without giving exam. The head of department of education strongly rejected their request.

The students made a fuss and gradually the slogans were shouted sharper. I guessed that this protest method cannot be without the guidance of hypocrites and counter-revolutionaries. Hence, along with some of the guards, I watched out coming and goings and suspected some people. We identified them and then the brothers went among the crowd and very gently arrested twenty of them. The riot ended by arresting these twenty people. It was clear that some of small groups were behind it and provoked the students.

One morning, we were informed that the workers of Mino, beverage-manufacturing, and glass factory and several other factories have struck and gathered in the hall of municipality and said, ‘we don’t have any safety.’ It was clear that some people involved in such gatherings. After being informed, I went to the municipality very quickly. When arriving there, I found the situation very critical, and the strikers were not like workers; some of hooligans of special neighborhoods were easily recognized. Even during this period, some of them had been arrested by IRGC because of harassing people and wickedness; and after being punished and acknowledging remorse, they had been released. The Guards took position in different spots with weapons in their hands, after entering the hall. I went on stage and began speaking with them. Two armed brothers watched and their presence was a preventive action for possible attack of strikers.

When my primary speech ended, they all began talking at the same time. Typically I could not understand what they were saying; so, I shouted firmly: "be quiet! If you talk all together, I don’t understand anything and your problem doesn’t solve. So, choose seven or eight representatives." They also chose three representatives to come before me and to propose their problems.

With this suggestion conflicts arose, which led to quarrel and disputes. It was found that they did not agree with each other. Finally, I said, ‘Sit down! Sit down everyone! Now you are not able to choose anyone, I myself choose several to come for negotiation.’

Meanwhile, a person, who claimed he is one of the workers of Mino factory, got up and said: "It's not a complicated matter. Some people have attacked and launched a missile to our factory last night. We’re not in safety for continuing our work." I said: "Well, even if your words will be true, I’m in charge in this city. If someone or a group has been able to attack and fired RPG to a factory near the airport and in the heart of the city, near where the guards’ base has located and the patrols are around it, then they should hear the sound of this explosion. But noting has been reported in this regards, so a number of you should accompany me in order to show missile and bullet hits. I don’t accept your words, unless I myself see it." Another person got up among the crowd and said, "No! Don’t listen! It's a deception. They want to get us out of here little by little and disperse us." Then he took out a knife from his pocket and continued, "Anyone who wants to go out, I’ll kill him with this knife and..."

There was a town near Hamadan, which called Mariyänaj. The youth of Mariyänaj were known for their prejudice, passion, revolutionary zeal, and patriotism. People from other parts of Hamadan were in awe of them. Everyone believed that Mariyänaj young people did not climb down over their faith, not at any price, and they were considered as devotee and great proponents of Imam and Revolution.

The Guards had informed the Mariyänaj young people of riots in the city, and, every moment, we looked forward their arrival. It was 3:30 p.m. I had spoken to the opponents and protesters for several hours from morning, but it was in vain. We were informed that the Mariyänaj people were moving to Hamadan in three buses. A tumult was raised by broadcasting the news between the crowd, and all of them became worried. Then we saw that the strikers went out the hall one by one or in small groups. With dispersion of the crowd, those who persisted, felt loneliness and scared and therefore went out. In this way, the strike broke without any involvement and firing even a bullet. When the Mariyänajpeople arrived, all the protesters had gone. That night, we arrested the elements of the riot whom we had identified.

Is oral history the words of people who have not been seen?

Some are of the view that oral history is useful because it is the words of people who have not been seen. It is meant by people who have not been seen, those who have not had any title or position. If we look at oral history from this point of view, it will be objected why the oral memories of famous people such as revolutionary leaders or war commanders are compiled.
