Ja’fari revolutionized Iran’s publishing industry

IBNA- Following the demise of the founding figure of Amir Kabir Publication Institute in Iran Abdul-Karim Ja’fari, author and journalist Ali Dehbashi, said that Ja’fari could lead the Iranian publishing industry to a modern stage.
In an interview with IBNA, Dehbashi who is the chief editor of Bokhara Culture and Art Magazine said: “Through Jafari, the publishing and printing industry in our country experienced a kind of revolution”.
“He could publish more than 3,000 title books among which ‘Farhang-e Farsi-ye Mo’ein’ (Mo’ein Persian Dictionary) is a paramount example,” he stated.
The prolific Ja’fari cooperated with Zabihullah Safa, scholar and professor of the Iranian Studies at the University of Tehran, Badi'ozzamān Foruzānfar, scholar of Persian literature; Dariush Shayegan, cultural theorist; Soroush Habibi, eminent translator; and many more scholars, according to Dehbashi.
“Ja’fari remains a paradigm of consistency, accuracy, innovation and taste for the new generations,” stressed the chief editor of Bokhara.
The Autobiographical triple-volume book ‘In Quest of the Morrow’ features Jafari’s memoirs, two volumes of which have been published by Rouzbahan Publishing Co.
Abdul-Karim Ja'fari, the founding figure of Amir Kabir Publication Institute passed away on October 3 due to lung conditions at Iranmehr Hospital in Tehran.
