Afshin Peyrovani interested in releasing his memoir
12 February 2013
Afshin Peyrovani, a retired Iranian footballer and a football coach, is interested in releasing his memoir.
IBNA: Talking about the publication of sportsperson’s memories, Afshin Peyrovani said: “In Iran, unfortunately, the publication of footballer’s memoir isn’t common; while noted foreign footballers like Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham and Wayne Rooney have released books about their professional life which have been welcomed warmly indeed.â€
Iranian publishers encounter several problems for the publication of such books; their publication is costly and on the other hand we still fail to know that will the readers welcome such books, he added.
Former Iranian national soccer captain noted: “Sports should be looked through a scientific window. I have read some of football coaching books which were released during the resent years which I believe should be improved scientifically.â€
Talking about supervising the publication of such books, he added: “It seems that books of football coaching aren’t supervised in Iran which can indeed have negative effects.â€
Every second of my professional life is a memory and since I heard that some noted footballers intend to write their memories, I decided to write mine after theirs. In other words I don’t like to be the first writer of football memories in Iran.

Hajj Pilgrimage
I went on a Hajj pilgrimage in the early 1340s (1960s). At that time, few people from the army, gendarmerie and police went on a pilgrimage to the holy Mashhad and holy shrines in Iraq. It happened very rarely. After all, there were faithful people in the Iranian army who were committed to obeying the Islamic halal and haram rules in any situation, and they used to pray.A section of the memories of a freed Iranian prisoner; Mohsen Bakhshi
Programs of New Year HolidaysWithout blooming, without flowers, without greenery and without a table for Haft-sin , another spring has been arrived. Spring came to the camp without bringing freshness and the first days of New Year began in this camp. We were unaware of the plans that old friends had in this camp when Eid (New Year) came.
