IBNA: The ceremony was held at Iran’s cultural center in Paris in the presence of Ali Zareie Najafdari, presidential advisor, Mohammad-Reza Majidi, the book’s author, Papa Momar Diop, Ambassador of Senegal in UNESCO, along with a number of French-speaking officials.
In an address, Najafdari said that the Islamic Revolution of Iran is populous and based on religion. “The Constitution of the Islamic Republic clearly and accurately reflects the cultural, political, and social principles of the governing system in Iran.â€
He further praised Mohamad-Reza Majidi for writing the book and Masoud Akhavan Kazemi, Iran’s cultural attaché in France for hosting the program, and said, “Undoubtedly, translation and publication of books on Iran’s Constitution in other languages and acquainting the world’s wits and elites with the law would do a great deal to wiping off the negative image Western media have made against Iran.â€
He asserted that over 98% of the people in Iran voted for the Constitution, prepared by representatives of the Assembly of Experts.
