8 July 2012

On the sidelines of praising injured war veteran authors, Minister of Islamic Guidance and Culture Seyyed Mohammad Husseini said:" We have decided to translate some of the books which are written by injured war veteran authors."

IBNA: The ceremony was held this noon, July 1, in Enqelab Hotel. Talking about the injured war veteran authors Husseini said:" Fortunately some of the war veterans are among the literati; some of them have released their memoir of the war while some others are active as narrators of Sacred Defense and another person writes their stories down."

He then pointed out to "Da" and "Nuruddin; Iran's Son" saying: "These books had their own type of influence, since they are inspired by the war's realities, innocence and sacrifices which occurred during the war."

The works' reprints indicate the peoples and young generation's interest in such kind of books, he added.

Minister of Islamic Guidance and Culture added:" Cultural products including films and series can be produced by the written memories."

In other news, he talked about the Islamic Awakening saying that the wave of Islamic Awakening is moving throughout the world and the world of Islam requires such a spirit and everyone should know that these samples exist in Iran as well; as the Guidance Ministry we will support all the field's authors particularly the war veterans to publish their works in order to bestow the spirits of jihad to everyone.

The minister added:" We owe them since their books are too impressive. The ministry purchases the books and sends them to public libraries. Thus purchasing the books is a support made by the Ministry of Islamic Guidance and Culture."

He went on to say that holding such gatherings are great and added:" These kind of gatherings encourage the injured war veteran authors to express their words and say the untold stories of the war years and which will indeed lead to the registration of the memories."

He added that "Nuruddin; Iran's Son" is a precious and effective book. Through the book, the reader gets to know about a part of the war."

In other news, he added that the ministry sends the books to different cultural institutes which indeed promote the books.

He said that translation is a precious work which should be considered more. Nowadays many eager readers throughout the world like to read such books and we should try to render some of them into other languages.

Operation Beit al-Moqaddas and Liberation of Khorramshahr

After Operation Fat’h al-Mobin, we traveled to Kermanshah and visited Sar-e-Pol-e-Zahab before heading to Ilam. During Operation Beit al-Moqaddas, the 27th Brigade was still receiving support from the West. We maintained contact with individuals who had previously worked in Area 7 and were now leading the brigade. It was through these connections that I learned about Operation Beit al-Moqaddas.

The Necessity of Receiving Feedback in Oral History

Whenever we engage in a task, we naturally seek ways to evaluate our performance — to correct shortcomings and enhance strengths. Such refinement is only possible through the feedback we receive from others. Consider, for instance, a basketball player whose shots are consistently accurate; should he begin shooting blindfolded, his success rate would rapidly decline, as he would be deprived of essential feedback from each attempt.
