29 April 2012

Head of the Politico-Ideological Department of the Army said Iran’s army will publish new titles on social, cultural, scientific and military fields given its vast inter and intra-organizational potentials.

IBNA: Hujatoleslam Seyyed Mohammad Ali Ale Hashem made his remarks in a ceremony held this morning (April 15, 2012) to unveil some of the army’s publications titled as A Sky of Stars and the reprinted Army: the Blessed Word.

As he said, a number of sessions have been held between army officials and top cultural and literary scholars of the country to produce more cultural stuff.

“Given its vast potentials, the army will publish some new work in different fields of culture, sciences, social, military and the Sacred Defense.

Ale Hashem further praised the day of Army adding that after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the army is worth being given a day named after it by Imam Khomeini.

“During the first days of the revolution, many of its enemies and hypocrites spread rumors about the dissolution of the army,” he added. “But Imam Khomeini wisely ordered the army to remain in power. He asked the nation to welcome the army in its parade arranged on April 16, 1979.”

He went on to say that the leader has named the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran as the army of the Party of God. “The leader calls the army the Blessed Word due to its services during the Sacred Defense war.”

He further asserted that books are the best means for relating past to the present. “Books are the only companion for real thinkers and open to them the gates of knowledge and wisdom.”

The army’s publishing house has so far released 200 book titles and most of them are about the Sacred Defense and introduce prominent figures in the war.

He also stated that a new databank will be established to profile document about active army writers, experts and authors.

At the end of the gathering, the two books were unveiled.

Army: the Blessed Word is a collection of statements by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei addressing army staff.

A Sky of Stars contains the transcription of the leader’s statements about the air force staff of the army.

During the ceremony, 23 titles published by AJA (Islamic Republic of Iran Army's Publishing House) were introduced as well.

The Arab People Committee

Another event that happened in Khuzestan Province and I followed up was the Arab People Committee. One day, we were informed that the Arabs had set up a committee special for themselves.
