- In the 11th National Festival of Research and Technology of the Iranian National Library and Archives, a specialized meeting on "Pathology of Iranian Oral History" was held virtually with the presence of Seyyed Mahmoud Sadat, a faculty member of the History Department of Imam Khomeini Research Institute, and Houria Saeidi, a faculty member and deputy director of the Document Research Institute of the Iranian National Archives and Library, on Tuesday December 22, 2020.
- Shahram Hemmatzadeh has announced the translation of Enchanted with Death, written by Svetlana Alexievich. Considering this book as a type of oral history, he added: ‘the Soviet period and the consequences of the collapse has examined from a political and economic perspective in the form of memoirs, and it looks psychologically at the problems which have arisen for individuals.
- Jalil Vahidi, Director General for preserving and publishing holy defense works and values of West Azerbaijan, noting that 80 books on oral history and documents of the holy defense were released this year at the same time as the research day. "West Azerbaijan took the first place in the country in compiling oral books on holy defense." He said.
- Colonel Mohsen Rashidi, Director General for Preserving and Publishing the Holy Defense Works and Values of Lorestan, said: The book of oral history of three revolutionary clerics of Lorestan province, Hujjat al-Islam Hassan Imani, Hujjat al-Islam Seyed Tajuddin Taheri and Hujjat al-Islam Khorshidvand, is in progress and will be published and released soon.
- The head of Khuzestan Hozeh Honari has stated that the oral history compiling of the martyrdom and memorable funeral of Qasem Soleimani In from the people’s word is in progress at Ahvaz. Two books on the oral history of Qasem Soleimani's funeral have been prepared in Ahvaz and other cities of the country, in which Hozeh Honari has participated and will be unveiled soon.
- On the 40th anniversary of the onset of the holy defense and the 11th consecutive week, the Holy Defense Documentation and Research Center, unveiled Gilmana: Narration of 8 years of the Holy Defense by Sardar Mohammad Haqbin.
- Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, President of the National Olympic Committee, called boxing an original and rooted sport and said: "Boxing is one of the oldest sports and its oral history must be recorded."
- In a ceremony commemorating the memory of General Qasem Soleimani, publication of correct narrations and accurate reflection of oral memoirs in the form of books was considered important and necessary, by Narjes Soleimani 's emphasizing on the Supreme Leader's guidelines in the field of social phenomena and products of the revolution history.
- Abdolhossein Badrlou, the director of the documentary "Committee", said: "this documentary is about “the committee”, which established in 1978 and merged with the police and gendarmerie in 1991. The initial idea was proposed in 2016 and the initial plan was written. The narration of this documentary is in oral history style, and the activities of the Islamic Revolutionary Committee in Iran has been narrated from the beginning to the end."
- The director of the Qom National Library and Archives announced the publication of the memoirs of Hojjat al-Islam Mohammad Hassan Rastgou in the form of oral history.
- Mayor of Meybod and Secretary of Zilou International City, Alireza Naghavi, pointed to the impact of globalization on the development of Zilou-craft and said: "The vacancy of documentation and oral history is felt in this art-industry and it is necessary for artists, enthusiasts and interested in Zilou to follow it.
- After the martyrdom of General Qasem Soleimani, various efforts were made in different fields of art, including literature and oral history. I am Qasem Soleimani, which narrates the different stages of General Qasem Soleimani’s life, from birth to martyrdom, for the next generation of this country, is one of the valuable works which has been published recently.
- In the workshop on compiling the oral history of the holy defense, which was held at the Giulan Research Center of Giulan University, Colonel Hossein Mostafapour by stating that the compiling of oral history requires a revolutionary and jihadi presence of authors, reminded that the Iranian nation confronted with the enemies during eight years of holy defense, so the veterans of that period should begin taking action.
- The Director General of Khorasan Razavi Public Libraries, who described the Kashf-e hijab in the Pahlavi period as the culmination of arrogant enmity with the religion and beliefs of the people, said: ‘developing our knowledge and awareness of the history of the Islamic Revolution is a duty; and collecting oral memories of the days of the revolution in books such as, Women's Liberation Day, helps the public social awareness.
- The head of Qazvin Artists' Basij Center announced that the “the workshop of Introduction to the Holy Defense Oral History" will be held by the Qazvin Artists' Basij Organization, the Foundation for Preserving and Publishing Holy Defense Works and Values, and the Qazvin Martyrs' Congress this winter.
- Pointing to the oral history of the Islamic Revolution and the Holy Defense as an investment for other productions in various fields of art, Meysam Moradi Binabaj, the deputy director of the provincial affairs in Hozeh Honari stated: Provinces should provide centers for training the artists at the level of the Islamic Revolution; so that clubs in different branches and fields of Islamic Revolution will be founded at the provinces for artists, especially with emphasis on the oral history of the Islamic Revolution and holy defense.
- The Islamic Revolutionary Documentation Center is conducting a series of oral history interviews with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to publish it in the form of a memoir book. In this series, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad recounts his memories from his birth and childhood to the election of 2005.
- In the ‘Eternal Days’ series, directed by Javad Shamqadari, which has been aired on IRIB TV1 since early January, the oral history of the Islamic Revolution during the first 9 months, which were seditious days, has been played; and again, the historical events of that period was reread.
- Referring to the recent warning of the Supreme Leader about the need to prevent the manipulating and forgetting the oral history of the holy defense, the head of Fatah Razavi Narrators Association said: Over 40 pamphlets of the practical oral history resources and the operations records have been compiled and have long been available to the narrators of the oral history of the holy defense.
- Based on the research plan approved by the Research Council of the National Library and Archives, The Legal Issues of Oral History Interviews, written by Peymaneh Salehi, has been published by the Publications of the Iranian National Library and Archives. This book is an extensive research on domestic and foreign sources and texts, using the experiences of individuals and institutions implementing oral history projects, which has proposed guidelines and practical methods to use oral history sources in various ways and determine the rights of the authors of these sources.
- Songs of Earthwork, Penetration in Anxiety, The Silent Oracles, Yessir, and The Herald of Light are the titles of books which were unveiled in the presence of the President of the Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Holy Defense Works and Values, the President of the Holy Defense Documents Organization and the head of the National Library in the Islamic Revolution and Holy Defense Museum.
- The holy Defense Documentation and Research Center unveiled The Oral History of Electronic Warfare Narrated by Sardar Ali Asghar Zare in a ceremony.
