"Staying in Tehran meant staying in the middle of the field, and returning to Tabriz, meant stepping back and losing the job opportunity he had chosen for the Quds Force ... After getting married in Tehran, in response to a query had been offered him to take her family to Tabriz and live, he replied: you won't be martyred." You Won't Be Martyred." One of the most notable sections of the book is "You Won't Be Martyred ", which appears under this title on page 30 of the book. This book narrates the life Mahmoud Reza Beyzaie from his birth to the eternal life of the martyr who defends the shrine[1] edited by the martyr's brother, Ahmad Reza Beyzaei. The book, "The Oral History of the Islamic Revolution Resistance Front", with 2500 copies, was published last winter at a price of thirteen thousand and five hundred Toman[2] in 152 pages. The book "You Won't Be Martyred" has been published by Oral History Unit of the Office of Islamic Cultural Studies and supreme leaders’ publication of Qom in universities, edited by Narges Tavakoli Lashkajani.

The 18th edition of this book, which was welcomed by readers in 2020, has been made available again to readers and enthusiasts on the Iran's oral history of Syrian war and resistance with 150 pages in 1500 copies by the effort of Rah Yar publication. Ahmad Reza Beyzaie narrates the ups and downs of the humble and Basij life of his martyred brother from childhood and adolescence, mosque and school to university and garrison, Tabriz to Tehran, and from Tehran to Syria in "You Won't Be Martyred"

Mahmoud Reza Beyzaei was born in Tabriz on December 8, 1981, in a religious family. According to his brother, when he was a student he joined to Tabriz Martyr Babai’s Resistance Center. Ahmad Reza says on page 11 of book:" Martyr Mahmoud Reza Beyzaie believed in the most important idea of Imam Khomeini (RA), namely the formation of the Islamic world government. His religious and political studies were not interrupted and he was well acquainted with the Arabic language and the Iraqi and Syrian accent. Beginning war in Syria in 2012, he traveled to Syria to help the Front of Resistance and to defend the All al-Allah (PBUH). In his latest dispatch, he told one of his comrades: "This trip is irreversible!" In fact, two months before he was sent to Syria, as if he was inspired by him, he sought to coordinate his place for burial and funeral. Finally, after two years attended on the Syrian war, in the year of the Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (AS)[3], He was martyred by explosive trap quivers in the head and chest, while commanding an operational area named Qasemiyah in  southeast of Damascus. The book "You Won't Be Martyr" include 75 titles. The first titles, titled "From Tabriz to Damascus," gives a brief account of the marriage and the martyrdom of the martyr. He willingly joins the Revolutionary Guards in the Islamic Revolution. On page 12 of this chapter, we read the narration of brother's language:" He considered the peak of his successes in the war attending in the operation carried out in Tasawai in 2013 in the area of Hojira to completely liberate the shrine of Hazrat Zeinab (SA) and to purge Takfiris force within a few kilometers. In the second title of the book, "The Blankets That He took", Ahmad Reza Bezizai talks about his brother's help to those who were injured in Rudbar’s earthquake, and the blankets he delivered to his compatriots without delay. In the third title, "You Should Understand Kamil Prayer" he expresses his interest in this prayer and quotes:" It is a pity to read this prayer without knowing what it says." In the fourth title, "Night and Pious Teenager" also speaks of the importance of the night prayer of the martyr defender of shrine at an early age. In the fifth title in the book, "Spirituality as Simple as that," by Ahmad Reza Beyzaie, whose brother was one of the disciples of the late Ayatollah Seyyed Abdul Hassan Rumi. In the sixth title, "From Michael Jordan to Shekel O'Neill," he mentions Mahmoud Reza's interest in a Black Muslim basketball player, his brother's interest in Friday prayer. The next title of the book, "The Warrior of Cultural War" narrates his brother's attention to culture and warfare from adolescence. Mahmoud Reza had taken the martyrs 'diary notebook from Martyrs' Foundation and had collected the memoirs of martyr Ahmed Moghimi, who was the radioman of Bakery. The same cultural work later led him to collaborate with Soheil Karimi and produce a documentary to record these memoirs in Syria. The next title or short chapter "From Shot to quiver", narrates the martyr injured by a shot and quiver in military station. In title" Abandoning Football and Everything", narrator mentions the interest of martyr defender in soccer, who went to the martyrs' grounds to practice with his comrades  , but eventually he abandoned the soccer to defend the shrine. In the title "Resistance with Credibility of Zahra SA)" is a speech by a Hamas official during his university career. On page 29 of the book, The Martyr Mahmoud Reza narrates: "If the resistance fighters, are conducting a covert operation against the Zionists, they have exemplified this method from the martyrdom of martyr Hussein Fahmideh in Iran." In the next title, "You Won't Be Martyred," the martyr's brother says: Mahmoud Reza did not want to return to Tabriz because he believed that if he returned, it would cause his mission to be minimized. Subsequent titles are "Guard for Guard" and "He was grateful person", respectively, which illustrate the simplicity of the martyr defender and his hospitality. Subsequent titles are "Suicide like Drinking Water", "Very Clear" and A Hardworking Man". The martyr's brother narrates in this section that Mahmoud Reza was not a lazy man, he was true even on his last trip to Syria, where he went to the war with a lot of back pain and was martyred in an operation in which he did not wear a bulletproof vest because of his back pain the weight of the vest. After these titles, we come up with two other short headlines titled "He painted all of us and went" and "The Strange Sense of Brotherhood." Martyr's brother says: Although I was older than him, it was as if my soul and heart always accepted Mahmoud Reza as my older brother. He used to kiss my shoulder on the Basij's habit. In the following title "He Likes Analyzing" it mentions his interest in reading the newspaper and he was a professional newspaper reader, attending weekly meetings with Hossein Shariatmadari, the editor-in-chief of Kayhan newspaper, and invited me to attend in meetings. In title "Living with Martyrs", his passion for martyrdom is depicted. The "wish to fight in Karbala" is about the interest of the defender martyr to teach Iraqi youth to fight the US. On page 44 of the same title, Mahmoud Reza's brother says:" I asked Mahmoud Reza: "Do the Iraqis forces, and consequently the Iranians only fight with these hand-made explosive devices." And he replied without hesitation: "The Americans have been so killed that the US’s troops have stayed in their barracks and so-called nests. The Americans asked Haj Qassem to lower the fire! Then we read the titles of "Filmmaker" and "Beaten Israel". On page 47, Ahmad Reza Beyzaei says he has asked his brother: "where is it known that Israel will not attack Lebanon again?" And he replies: These are all harangue! Israel is like a beaten man who, as boxers say, is thrown into the ring and says if I get up I will kill you but have no more time to count to number 10! In the next title, "Epic Chants" says that he deeply loved Hezbollah's epic hymns and listened to them heartily. Later this season, we come across as a title" a Grateful Volunteer Soldier":  "He described that, because of his Basij appearance, some criminals tried to attack him and knock down his motorcycle." Subsequent titles are "Great Supporters of the Revolution" and "The Hard-Working Will be Martyred." On page 54, Mahmoud Reza narrates: I once told Haj Qassim that I had found that know that hardworking persons would be martyred in war. Haj Qassim confirmed my words. The next titles are respectively: "Dedicated to Mahmoud Reza", "wakeful and impatient "and "That Ring". Mahmoud Reza Beyzaei's study of Islamic Awakening reads in "The Final Battle": I remember saying that TV discussions about Syria were far from reality. He was saying that a reality is going on that is beyond these words."

Other titles include "Global Thought", "At the Service of the Oppressed", "Veterans", "Stepping to the Task Force", "Going to Islamic Republic", "From Military Field to Political Field", "Takfiri Against the Shiite Resistance Model", " They Are Best "," A long With Lady with Military Uniform"," Takfir Fears of Khomeini's Corps "," Turkish and Arabic Dialect", "Oriented with Google Earth", "Justice - Even for Syrian Soldiers", "Witty and Serious", "From Saudi Riyal to the US’s Dollar", "Popular and Believers" and "Master of Comprehensive Education". The next title "Mystery of Martyrdom" reveals the mood of Mahmoud Reza Beyzaie at the funeral of Martyr Hossein Moradi, and the important point is that Mahmoud felt as if he were his next martyr; it happened! Other chapters of the book includes " I Go ", " Zinnab's Tasu'a", " I Tried not Be Died by Accident" and " Making Jokes with Death", and last chapter mentioned that death was normal in the eyes of Mahmoud Reza: " He was describing and laughing the first time he had been encountered, along with his own forces, to in Damascus with the ambush of Takfiri." On page 91 of the book Another Interesting Memories of Syria is narrated, which is a direct quotation of oral history and memoirs of defending soldiers: "We were on the overpass and I saw a suspicious car was exploded and then it turned out that it was going to kill us." Ahmad Reza says he told this story as if he were not talking about the war, and an ordinary event was happened. The next title is "We are in Possession of Martyrdom": In Syria, Mahmoud Reza himself concluded that anyone who became a martyr wanted to become martyr. In fact, they first had intentions and then got his wish; he was pleaded for martyrdom. The next titles in the book were "The Alive Martyr" `and "The Chain of Dependency should be Cut", "His plan for Going Has Been Revealed," "Don't Let My Big Deal Break Down," and "Where Should I Be Buried?" in the last title , we again consider the concern of martyr Mahmoud Reza " where he will be buried after his martyrdom." The next part of the book "Martyrdom needs Readiness Not Wish" is the story of the martyr's brother on page 100 "You Won't Be Martyred": Mahmoud Reza informed me that being ready for martyrdom is different from wishing to be martyr. The title he last Journey" mentioned the last visit of the martyr defender to Syria, and in this way, it returns to the beginning of the book. The next title is "Mahmud Reza’s Kosar" and depicts Mahmoud Reza's love for his daughter on how to abandon her Kosar during her final journey and dispatch. Subsequent titles are "Having an Appointment ", "News", and "Injured Like Hussein (AS) and Zahra" (SA), with the same sequence these titles tell about the martyr and his comrades' appointments for martyrdom, and finally the news of his martyrdom. Other chapters includes "Ali Akbar (AS)", " the Glory of that Body", " precession in  Loving The Guardianship of the Islamic Juris" , " Mr. Mahmoud ", "Majnun" and' Hello to Martyrdom '. The next title is "Will", Ahmad Reza narrates from the wife of martyr Mahmoud Reza that he showed the poster of martyr Hemmat and said that this is my will. It was written under the poster: I have made a covenant with my God that I will not be quiet and stationary for this divine revolution until the last drop of my blood. The latest title of the book is "From the Handwriting Book of Mahmoud Reza in Syria". After the end of the book titles, a part of the letter of Martyr Mahmoud Reza Bezizae to his wife, titled "This Bulwark Should Not Be Fallen", is made available for oral history's enthusiasts. He wrote the letter a few months before his martyrdom in Syria. The letter outlined the motivation for its presence on the Syrian front and spoke about the goals of the terrorists and their supporters in launching the events of Syria. It is mentioned on page 122 of this letter: "We must admit to ourselves that we were born at this time and that we were born as a Shia to be effective in realizing the emergence of Imam Mahdi[4]. And this comes with enduring problems, calamities, hardships, homesickness, and it cannot be achieved except by sacrifice.” The end of the book includes images of childhood, adolescence and youth and the moment of martyrdom of martyr Mahmoud Reza Beyzaie for readers.

 


[1] The shrine of Zaynab bint Ali, also spelled Zainab, was the daughter of the Ali ibn Abi Talib and Fatimah bint Muhammad. The Islamic Prophet Muhammad was her maternal grandfather, and thus she is a member of his Ahl al-Bayt.
