About the book "Strategy and Nothing Else"

Seven interviews with a security expert

"Strategy and Nothing Else: an interview with Nasser Razavi, security expert on the Mojahedin Organization of Iran[1]" is the full title of a book compiled by Mohammad Hassan Rozitalab. This book with a 247 pages has published for first time by Ya Zahra publication in year 2019. The book includes the introduction, the text of seven sessions of interview and photos. In the introduction, Rozitalab introduced the interviewee and added: "The conversation with someone like Razavi was an opportunities that we accidentally take it; many unsolved issues were raised including those that took place in the security field outside the country, and there was no place and time to express it before. The interview of this book have been conducted in the winter of 2014. During the past three years [until the winter of 2018, the Mojahedin Organization of Iran has undergone major developments such as full withdrawal from Iraq, financial and information support by Saudi Arabia, and alliance with the extreme government of president Tramp."

The text of book has been formed with interviewer's questions and interviewees' responses. By reading the first session of interview, some points of book will be revealed. First, the both sides of interview are going to talk very explicitly and express their views on their views, studies and activities. In this way, such explicit expression can be seen especially among famous persons. Interviewer also shows that questions depend on challenging studies. In this process, the content of the first session is dedicated to the history of Mojahedin Organization of Iran, especially in the years before the victory of Islamic Revolution, and the statements have analytical and analytical elements.

The content of the second session is about the years after the Islamic Revolution and the first years of the 1980s. The process of reviewing this section and the questions is such that the interviewer refers to his memoirs and observations and provides important information from those years to answers questions; those years when Mojahedin Organization wanted to damage extremely the Islamic Republic of Iran. Read a part of this session:

 

"After some people like Kashmir who had been influenced at a high level, did you have someone to influence in such level? Did you discover an important item?

Yes. We recognized a person who wanted to kill Imam Khomeini. It seems, Kashmiri was strong to do it, wasn’t he?  ... He was able to do it, I understood that he could! He said: why should I wait for Mojahedin Organization to send me arms. To kill Imam Khomeini, he should do a process; he made a preparation no to be investigated…while he was telling us about actions to kill Imam, we trembled. He said:" once, I said to me that Imam was sitting next to pool and washing hands and face to pray, and he was an old man. "… I saw that Imam was washing face and hands to pray; I also found that it was the best time to kill him. When this thought passed out of my mind, Imam looked back and said: "Hi." Imam was the first to greet his addresses. Kashmir said: "I replied Imam. As soon as he said hello to me, I was horrified. Imam washed his hands and face and I started to wash and pray behind Imam."

The third session interview is dedicated to the method of resistance against Mojahedin Organization inside of country, special before time when Massoud Rajavi, leader of the People's Mujahedin of Iran, This method is described in accordance with the conditions of present time, and, it is also compared with the previous methods and pathology. At the fourth session is about how Mojahedin Organization is reencountered abroad, as well as the organization's analysis of being damaged inside and outside of country and their impact on its movement. The fifth session addresses the adventures of Mujahedin Organization in the northern forests of country and details of the method. At the sixth session, it is about the methods that organization used it inside of Iran during the second half of Iraqi imposed war against Iran, and about what it did with Iranian prisoners in Iraq and how it entered field in which Mersad operation was formed. Also, the changes that occurred within the organization have been investigated.

The book "Strategy and Nothing Else" ends with an album of photo related to the topic of book. The album includes photos from the early years of 1980 and the last years of this decade.

 


[1] The People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran, or the Mojahedin-e Khalq, is an Iranian political-militant organization based on Islamic and socialist ideology. It advocates overthrowing the Islamic Republic of Iran leadership and installing its own government.
