The attendence of more than 7 oficail sets in oral history workshop

Dr. Mouloud Sotodeh told:" more than 7 Isfahan's governmental agencies took attendance in the first course to compile oral history of governmental agencies and all of participants in the workshop were interested and mostly familiar with oral history and official set; hence, we will have good scene."

The experts of National Library and Documents Organization in central area of country (Isfahan), in an interview with oral history's website spoke about the first course to compile and history of governmental agencies in Tir and Morad (July, August) of current year, and he added:" more than 7 governmental agencies-e.g. the governor of Najafabad and Nain, the ministry of education, Bank Sepah, Welfare Organization and Art Center attended in this workshop. Also, about 20 people attended in the workshop.

In added:" in this four session workshop, some issue – about compiling oral history of governmental agencies and its necessity and importance, the position of oral history with archival documents, the methods of interview and official collecting information, compiling and adjusting questions, how to use of archive as a written memory of office and the methods of using set of collected and processed information as a marginal and strategic data for administrators and officials."

The experts of documents of National Library and Documents Organization in central area of country emphasized the ability of experts to have major role to consult and he told:" many of people were familiar with the history and events of their offices and also the fluctuations of them."

Dr. Mouloud Sotodeh added: "the people who participated in the first course of workshop to compile oral history of governmental agency, will begin to work after being held the electronic workshop by Documents Organization; we also help them through complementary classes."

At the end, he had an acceptable analysis of the workshops and emphasized:" fortunately, we met nice participants and everyone were interested and familiar with oral history and their official sets. Hence, we will have a good scene. But, the continuance of workshop depends on budget. But we try to continue this program in fall and have some workshops until the end of year. Some of offices are ready to have workshop for oral history of official agencies in townships as well." 

Last year, a regulation was awarded in cabinet of Iran's Islamic Republic to specify the forward programs of National Library and Documents Organization of Iran on 20th Tir 1395(2016-july-12) as follows:" Executive systems can compile the oral history of dependent systems according the proclaimed principals of National Library and Documents Organization."

The Necessity of Receiving Feedback in Oral History

Whenever we engage in a task, we naturally seek ways to evaluate our performance — to correct shortcomings and enhance strengths. Such refinement is only possible through the feedback we receive from others. Consider, for instance, a basketball player whose shots are consistently accurate; should he begin shooting blindfolded, his success rate would rapidly decline, as he would be deprived of essential feedback from each attempt.
