Memories of the head of the expediency council since 1989 will be unveiled at the 25th Tehran International Book Fair.

IBNA: Titled as Silence After Storm, the book is compiled by Ali Lahuti who said the work on the book still continues.

In an interview with IBNA, he said work on the book began in March 2011 and will finish in March 2012 to be unveiled at the 25th Tehran International Book Fair. The work is being produced as a volume of the Hashemi Rafsanjani Memories Collection.

As he said, various resources were resorted to complete the book which include memories of personages, foreign ministrys documents center, books of the army on the Sacred Defense, works published in other countries like Iraq and Egypt on the war and archives of foreign media since 1989.

Lahuti further added that journals of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, books published by the Islamic parliament of Iran and widely circulated newspapers were other resources he had to refer to in completion of the book.

Issues like Imam Khomeinis demise, appointment of Ayatollah Khamenei to leadership of the Islamic Revolution, release of Iranian captives of the Sacred Defense, and topics on the 598 resolution of the security council are discussed in the book through Ayatollah Rafsanjanis viewpoint.

The Importance of Pre-Publication Critique of Oral History Works

According to the Oral History website, a meeting for critique and review of the book “Oral History: Essence and Method” was held on Monday morning, November 10, 2025, with the attendance of the book’s author, Hamid Qazvini, and the critics Mohammad Qasemipour and Yahya Niazi, at the Ghasr-e Shirin Hall of the National Museum of the Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense.
