►Mohammad Reza Varzi, the screenwriter and director of the T.V series "The Riddle of the Shah" said about the production of documentary and drama works about contemporary history: TV Theater has the ability to invest in dealing with oral history; because it is quick and can provide quality results.

►In the continuation of the discussions on the oral history of sports in the country and paying attention to the role of sports and physical fitness in improving the morale of warriors during the 8 years of holy defense, the oral history group of the National Olympic Committee with Amir Hosseini, Nurullah Hemti, Bahram Afsharzadeh, Dr. Nasrullah Sajjadi and Seyed Ismail Davoudi Shamsi conducted interviews.

►The book "Ambassador of the Revolution", memoirs of ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the first decade of the Islamic Revolution, written by Allah Karam Mushtaqhi, was published by Iran Publishing House with 480 pages, 500 copies and a price of 200,000 Tomans (Iranian currency).

►The meeting "Boundaries of commonality and difference of story and memory in the memoirs of holy defense" was held with the presence of Mohammad Ghasemipour, Jafar Gulshan Roghani and Fereydoun Heydari Malekmian on 23 January 2024 in Sarai Kitab store.

►Director General of Ardabil Province Martyrs and Martyrs Affairs Foundation announced the collection and recording of 1,500 documents from the memories and biographies of the martyrs of this province with the aim of preserving and transmitting the oral history of holy defense to future generations.

► The unveiling ceremony of the first and second volumes of the oral history of the Holy Defense, narrated by Sardar Ahmad Gholampour, the commander of the Karbala camp during the Holy Defense, was held on Tuesday, 30 January 2024, at the Holy Defense Documentation and Research Center. The first volume of this book was published in 2020 and the second volume in February 2024 by the efforts of the Center for Documents and Research of Holy Defence.

►The oral history interview book "Kalima", the memoirs of Hasan Ali Pourhosni's captivity in Siberia, researched and edited by Ali Drazi, with the efforts of the vice president of research and digital resources, has been reprinted and launched on the market in 272 pages by the publications of the Organization of Records and the National Library of Iran.

►A training workshop on the oral history of the Holy Defense for research assistants of the Sisters seminaries of Khuzestan province was held by Sardar Alireza Sheikh Rabat on 28th of January 2024 in Ahvaz.

►The national speech season project was organized by the Cultural Vice-Chancellor of Jihad University of Hamadan, focusing on the review of the book "I am not a veteran". This book by Seyed Maitham Mousavian is the memoirs of "Ahmad Pirhayati", one of the veterans and fighters of the revolution, which was published in 2022 by Maarif publishing house.

► Director of the Oral History Department of the Holy Defense Documentation and Research Center, while attending the Khabar reporter's Salam program, said: Today, documented and substantiated historiography in the field of Holy Defense is one of the main duties of this center.

The Red Crescent Society announced: The oral history of the Red Crescent Society is being recorded and compiled. Those interested in this field can share their documents and observations from the historical turning point and service period of Red Crescent with the oral history secretariat of that place.

►The Minister of Science, Research and Technology stated that Ibn Sina University is an honor for Hamedan and said: The oral history of Ibn Sina University should be compiled and this history should remain for future generations.

►The meeting "Examination of the position of women in the realization of the Islamic Revolution; A Review of the Narratives of Women Fighters" was held on Sunday 4 January 2024 at the Research Institute of Social Sciences of the Research Institute of Humanities and Cultural Studies.

►Mohammad Rahmani, the author of the book "I Confess: The Life and Times of Vahid Afarakhte" said in an interview with Ibna: Oral history has a series of errors that are unavoidable. However far it is from that time, its validity may be damaged; however, there is no part of oral history in official history and written history.

►The cultural deputy of the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of West Azarbaijan informed about the compilation of the oral history of the fundamental values and the comprehensive documents of the cultural and Quranic map of the province.

►The book "Oral History of the Office of State Enterprises Affairs" was prepared by Mohammad Sadegh Masrashli, Mahmoud Sahabi and Mohammad Arine Nejad and published in 256 pages by the Office of State Enterprises Affairs of the Ministry of Economy.

Memoirs of Hujjat al-Islam Reza Motalebi

Hujjat al-Islam Reza Motalebi is a cleric from Isfahan. Before the revolution, he was the imam of the Fallah Mosque – which was later renamed Abuzar Mosque. By his presence and efforts, Abuzar Mosque soon became a base for supporters of the Imam and the revolution. After the victory of the revolution, he played a role in uniting forces and maintaining political vitality in southwest Tehran.

The Necessity of Receiving Feedback in Oral History

Whenever we engage in a task, we naturally seek ways to evaluate our performance — to correct shortcomings and enhance strengths. Such refinement is only possible through the feedback we receive from others. Consider, for instance, a basketball player whose shots are consistently accurate; should he begin shooting blindfolded, his success rate would rapidly decline, as he would be deprived of essential feedback from each attempt.

Sir Saeed

The book “Sir Saeed” is a documentary [narrative] of the life of martyr Seyyed Mohammad Saeed Jafari, written by Mohammad Mehdi Hemmati and published by Rahiyar Publications. In March 2024, this book was recognized as one of the selected documentary biographies in the 21st edition of the Sacred Defense Book of the Year Award.
