My Share of those Beautiful Eyes to Be Unveiled

The website of the Iranian Oral History reports that the book My Share of those Beautiful Eyes, SardÄr (Brigadier-General) Hamid HesÄm`s oral memoirs written by MostafÄ Rahimi, was published by the Provincial Bureaus for Resistance Studies and Literature of Hoze Honari (Art Center) in cooperation with Mehr Publications. The book is to be unveiled on the 6th of Tir, 1391 (the 26th of June, 2012), at the presence of a number of authors, researchers, and the military generals of the Imposed War at Mehr Hall at Hoze Honari.
Born in 1340 (1961) in HamedÄn, Hamid HesÄm joined military forces at the 32nd “AnsÄr al-Hossein†Division as soon as the War broke out. He graduated with an M.A. in Persian literature from Tehran University.
HesÄm has written many books on the subject of the Sacred Defence, among which are The Frogman Smells of Spearmint and The Secret of the Red Gem. As his last job in the field of resistance literature, he served as the Deputy Director of the Foundation for Preservation of Monuments and Dissemination of Values of the Sacred Defence. He is now the Scientific Secretary of the 1st Festival of Sacred Defense Memory Writing.
The book My Share of those Beautiful Eyes recounts the events which occurred during Hamid HesÄm`s early days in the war zone in Sar-e Pol-e ZahÄb and continues to retell up unto to his last days in the same zone. Although he was a B.A. student at Tehran University, he continued to be fight regularly and finally had the honor of being a veteran. This military side of his character has been overshadowed by his cultural side during the past years; this book is therefore an attempt to accentuate this specific dimension of his character as well.
My Share of those Beautiful Eyes is to be unveiled at a ceremony held at Mehr Hall at the Iranian Art Center of the Organization for Islamic Propagation, a building located near Sommayeh Street, on HÄfez Avenue, Tehran.

Operation Beit al-Moqaddas and Liberation of Khorramshahr
After Operation Fat’h al-Mobin, we traveled to Kermanshah and visited Sar-e-Pol-e-Zahab before heading to Ilam. During Operation Beit al-Moqaddas, the 27th Brigade was still receiving support from the West. We maintained contact with individuals who had previously worked in Area 7 and were now leading the brigade. Hujjat al-Islam Reza Motalebi is a cleric from Isfahan. Before the revolution, he was the imam of the Fallah Mosque – which was later renamed Abuzar Mosque. By his presence and efforts, Abuzar Mosque soon became a base for supporters of the Imam and the revolution. The book “Sir Saeed” is a documentary [narrative] of the life of martyr Seyyed Mohammad Saeed Jafari, written by Mohammad Mehdi Hemmati and published by Rahiyar Publications. In March 2024, this book was recognized as one of the selected documentary biographies in the 21st edition of the Sacred Defense Book of the Year Award.
