Iranian Oral History Website: the 12th conference of oral history of Iran is ongoing. The conference on “Oral History of Industry, Engineering and Logistic of Sacred Defense” will be held in Saeb Hall of Literature and Humanities Faculty, Isfahan University on Tuesday, November 19, 2019.
For audiences and the interested who heard or wrote this news, it is natural they would like to have information about the former programs of the conference. So Iranian Oral History Website tries to present such information until holding the 12th conference of oral history of Iran which is the most important program in the country on the matter and in this field. The text is about time and place of former conferences.
As you know, Iranian Oral History Association is in charge for holding conference of oral history of Iran. The association holds every conference with help of scientific forums and active organizations and institutions of field of oral history.
Mohsen Kazemi, author and history researcher and member of Iranian Oral History Association, published a report of eight specialized and conferences of Iranian Oral History Association during the 9th conference and in pages 201 to 214 of Special Issue named “Document of Honor”. He mentioned history of establishment of the association in a conversation and said that it dates back to 2004 and that “there are academicians full experienced scientifically and experimentally, and they hold sessions annually.”

The first, second and third conferences of oral history of Iran were held in Isfahan University, respectively, on May 13 and 14, 2004, December 1, 2004, and June 13, 2007. The common subject of these conferences was theoretical discussions of oral history.
The forth conference on “Interview in Oral History” was held in the Center for Studies and Research of Resistance Culture and Literature, in Hozeh Honari, Tehran on February 25, 2008.
The fifth conference on “Methodology and Subject-finding of Urban Studies in Oral History” was held in the Organization of Libraries, Museums, and Documents Center of Astan Quds Razavi on March 5, 2009.
The sixth conference on “Education” was held in Isfahan University on November 10, 2009.
The seventh and eighth conferences on the common subject of “Compilation in Oral History” were held respectively in Museum and Documents Center of Majles-e Showrā-ye Eslāmī (Islamic Consultative Assembly) in Tehran and Isfahan University on January 31, 2012 and April 23, 2013.
The ninth conference on “Oral History of Altruism and Martyrdom” was held in one of cultural complex of Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs in Tehran on March 8, 2014.
The tenth conference on “Oral History of Islamic Revolution 1963-1979”, invited by Institute for Iranian Contemporary Historical Studies, was held in a hall of Hozeh Honari in Tehran on January 26, 2016.
The eleventh conference on “Compilation in Oral History” was held in NLAI’s Document Research Institute, Tehran, on February 27, 2017.
The twelfth conference of oral history of Iran on “Oral History of Industry, Engineering and Logistic of Sacred Defense” will be held in Isfahan University on November 19, 2019.
