Necessity of oral history and its instances from the view of two journals

According to Iranian Oral History website, two journals revolving around oral history and this method of research were released in Iran during this summer and autumn; the second issue of "The Professional Scientific Journal of Oral History" and the first issue of the magazine "Oral History of Mashhad's Ferdowsi University".

The second issue of "The Professional Scientific Journal of Oral History" has been released by the National Library of Islamic Republic of Iran. The first issue of the journal had been published in January 2016. The second issue includes four parts of articles, the reviewing and criticism of books, reports and interviews the list of which is as follows:

Articles: The necessity of oral history in historiography and the role of metalanguage in oral history interviews/Fa'ezeh Tavakoli, Oral history of women (The experience of the wives of those men who were martyred in the war): Sussan Bastani, Farkhondeh Ilkhan and Ali Asghar Saeedi, Women's Oral History: Is It So Special?/ Sherna Berger Gluck, translated by Farahnaz Esmael Beigi

Book review and criticism: The reviewing and criticism of the book "Mr. Ambassador"/ Hossain Rouhani Sadr, the reviewing and criticism of the book "Mother, Forgive Me!"/Mustafa Nouri, and the reviewing and criticism of the book "Kalima": Matlab Matlabi

Reports: Three expert meetings about oral history/ Masih Javaher Dehi, and a brief report on the 10th Conference of Oral History/ Morteza Rasoulpour

Interview: Being a teacher and membership in Dehkhoda's Dictionary Ingratiate are among the greatest honors of my life (an interview with the late Dr. Hassan Ahmadi Givi)/ Peimaneh Salehi Fashami.

The first issue of the quarterly "Oral History of Mashhad's Ferdowsi University" was released in November 2016 by the Iranian Association of History, Khorasan Razavi Branch in an electronic form. The magazine includes three chapters of articles, special part and interviews the list of which is as follows:

Introduction: Oral history in the universities: Necessities and needs/ Dr. Abolfazl Hassan Abadi

1st chapter: Articles: Oral History of Mashhad's Ferdowsi University/Gholam Reza Azari Khakestar, The direct description (Dr. Shariati as narrated by Naqi Lotfi)/ Qassem Qarib

2nd chapter: Special Part: Half a century of sincere effort (an interview with professor Alireza Nazeri, the CEO of the Foundation of Mashhad's Fredowsi University/ Gholam Hossain Now'ee and Gholam Reza Azari Khakestar, a glance at half a century of the bright activity of Engineer Seyed Javad Shahrestani, the establishment of the Foundation of Ferdowsi University from the viewpoint of Dr. Abdolreza Baqeri, Accuracy and quality, a concern which turned into a brand/  Gholam Hossain Now'ee and Megar Bahrami

3rd chapter: Report: From Tehran to Paris/ Gholam Hossain Now'ee, the Expert Meeting of the History of Endowment in Iran (emphasizing on the Endowment Centre of Abbasqoli Khan Shamlou)/ Hadis Kamranifar, The Expert Meeting of Iranian Local History through emphasis on the local history of the city of Qoochan, a report from the commemoration ceremony of the Day of national Archive (revolving around the documents of the Endowment Centre of Abbasqoli Khan Shamlou in Mashhad's historiography), a report from the schedule of the meeting of the agents of the branches of the Iranian Association of History in Mashhad, and a report about the special programs for commemorating of the 16th year of the publication of the History Research Quarterly.

Boycotting within prison
