Students in the oral history program in the D.C. Everest School District have published 20 books, and the 21st is a few months away from its print date.
Students are putting the final touches on "Wisconsin Women: Celebrating their Contributions". It's a project two and a half years in the making.
The junior and high school school students interviewed 100 women who have changed the culture of the state.
"Their stories haven't always been told or they've been kind of stifled by men. And it's important that they've overcome so much because they used to be. They're the mother, but now they're pushing through and accomplishing so much and contributing so much to society that it's just so inspirational of how much they've overcome," says Katie Cyr, who's working on the book.
The book is scheduled to be released this fall. You can find the story of Newschannel 7's Bao Vang in the book.

Saudi attack on Iranian pilgrims
My most memorable trip happened in 1366 solar hijri (1987) during which I accidentally was the head of the caravan. On that trip, the brutal massacre of the Iranian haj pilgrims by the Saudi agents happened. That horrible tragedy occurred on Friday which was later known as "Black Friday"… Almost everybody had prepared to take part in the rally on the day of the "Disavowal of Polytheists".Nurse of Fav Hospital
“I didn’t see this event in Ayoubi Hospital, but I did in Fav Hospital exactly. At least once a day, we witnessed the flight of Iraqi jets from that area which came to strike the hospital.
