The information dissemination deputy of the Documents Center of the Islamic Revolution Javad Mansouri said:" The center ''s document ''s archive holds 3 main collection including the papers related to before and after the Islamic Revolution and Iranian documents which exist in foreign countries. So far some 10m documents have been collected."

IBNA: The information dissemination deputy of the Documents Center of the Islamic Revolution Javad Mansouri told IBNA that the center is gathering documents from Iran and foreign countries since its establishment in 1982."

He said that the Documents Center of the Islamic Revolution is a significant center holding information about the contemporary history political developments the studies of movements and parties as well as the history of Iran ''s dignitaries and added:" The center ''s archive holds 3 main collection including the papers related to before and after the Islamic Revolution and Iranian documents which exist in foreign countries. So far some 10m written documents and hundreds of audio and pictorial papers as well as 100,000 photos have been gathered."

Talking about collecting the documents from foreign countries Mansouri explained that the papers were sent to Iran by those who live outside. Moreover websites are a great source as well.
He added that the oldest document dates back to 1850 and belongs to the Justice department.

He pointed out that some 50 hours of conversation exist which has been made with Iran ''s contemporary history activists and militants and added:" Some of the conversations have been released as books as the audio versions are kept at the center."

As the specialized library of the Documents Center of the Islamic Revolution is supervised by the center ''s information dissemination deputy office he added:" The library holds some 48,000 works. Most of the books are old and individual which were donated to the center. Moreover "Rozat Ul-safa" which was released in 1882 in Bombay is the library ''s oldest book."

Finally he said:" The "Preparation and Archive" section of the Documents Center of the Islamic Revolution collects and preserves written documents audio cassettes films related to the revolution ''s incidents and figures."
