Memoirs of Seyedeh Maryam Jalali about public aids to fronts

Higher than gold

Receiving public aids to support the war was a priority for our work in the IRGC. We took advantage of every opportunity to attract public aids. At that time, the cost of accommodation for each combatant in the fronts was 20 thousand tomans and the salary of each IRGC member was 15 thousand tomans.

“Internal Reaction” published

Apart from the student activities and massive demonstrations in the years 1352 to 1354 (1973-1975), another part of my activities was the books I was writing myself. Of course, before they turned into books, I used to lend them in the form of nameless pamphlets in university libraries. Many harmful writings or books were taken to the mountains or transferred to other universities, sometimes even abroad.

Reunion with God

They say nearly a hundred bags of blood were transfused into me to keep me alive. I am indebted to all those whose blood flows within me. Nevertheless, they have been kind to me and have disturbed me. Those who attained martyrdom and departed, they became heroes and succeeded in the test of life, while those of us who remain must await the next test.

About Martyr Ali Sayyad Shirazi

When he arrived at the Majlis (parliament), some time had passed since the start of the meeting. He felt that in those corridors of the building, the condition of his clothes and appearance burst everyone’s bubble. For a while, he thought about going back to the officer’s school to wear more suitable clothes; but suddenly he decided to enter the room with ...

Troublesome letters

In Shahrivar 1350 (September 1971), the SAVAK arrested more than 90% of the members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in a night raid. The rest were arrested in the months of Mehr and Aban of the same year (October and November). Therefore, in 1350 (1971), the MKO was dealt a heavy blow by SAVAK. When this news was reflected in the society, it naturally brought many reactions.

Loss of Memory in Pahlavi Prisons

In total, [I was in prison] about 6 years in two arrests. For the first time after several years, a soldier arranged my escape. I do not know why! Maybe he was one of the influential elements of Islamic groups. They took me to the hospital for the treatment of my hand, which was broken due to the callousness of an officer.

Imam

Protests against the killing of people in Tabriz and other cities spread across the country, Rastakhiz party centers in several cities were targeted by demonstrators and were destroyed or set on fire. In Germany, at the invitation of the Union of Islamic Associations, a demonstration was organized in the city of Bonn.

Memory of Golmohammad Shekari

During the days of the revolution, I worked in the village bathhouse. I heard the news of people's demonstrations on the radio. Sometimes I or another person would go from the village to the city and see the marches there. At the same time, one of the teachers of the village died a martyr in the city and a large number of people went to Bojnurd to participate in his funeral.

The Presence of Desperate People in the Arbaeen Procession

Considering that the regime bore the brunt of the days of Tasu’a and Ashura, and the very bold movement of Muslim and religious guys in The Immortal Guard of Imperial Iran in Lavizan, there was a prediction that the ruling apparatus would be dangerous on the day of Arbaeen. This analysis was based on that the regime might take revenge on this day.

Hajj Pilgrimage

I went on a Hajj pilgrimage in the early 1340s (1960s). At that time, few people from the army, gendarmerie and police went on a pilgrimage to the holy Mashhad and holy shrines in Iraq. It happened very rarely. After all, there were faithful people in the Iranian army who were committed to obeying the Islamic halal and haram rules in any situation, and they used to pray.

Programs of New Year Holidays
Without blooming, without flowers, without greenery and without a table for Haft-sin , another spring has been arrived. Spring came to the camp without bringing freshness and the first days of New Year began in this camp. We were unaware of the plans that old friends had in this camp when Eid (New Year) came.

Attack on Halabcheh narrated

With wet saliva, we are having the lunch which that loving Isfahani man gave us from the back of his van when he said goodbye in the city entrance. Adaspolo [lentils with rice] with yoghurt! We were just started having it when the plane dives, we go down and shelter behind the runnel, and a few moments later, when the plane raises up, we also raise our heads, and while eating, we see the high sides ...

The Arab People Committee

Another event that happened in Khuzestan Province and I followed up was the Arab People Committee. One day, we were informed that the Arabs had set up a committee special for themselves. At that time, I had less information about the Arab People , but knew well that dividing the people into Arab and non-Arab was a harmful measure.
