“The Oral History of Sacrifice and Martyrdom” was published

The collection of the articles of 9th Iranian Oral History Conference is published by the title of “The Oral History of Sacrifice and Martyrdom”(Tarikh-e Shafahi-ye Isar va Shahadat). The 9th professional session and the educational workshop of Iranian Society of Oral History was held in March 8, 2014 upon the request of the Document Center of the Foundation of Martyrs and Sacrificers’ Affairs and the cooperation of History Department of Literature and Humanities Faculty of Isfahan University, Howzeh Honari [related to Islamic Proselitization Organization], Document Organization and National Library of Iran, Document Center of Islamic Parliament of Iran, Organization of Libraries, Museums and Center of the Deeds of Quds Razavi and Islamic Revolution Document Center. This book is composed in three parts. The first contains the inauguration lectures, the second includes all received articles and in the third part the appendixes are included. This collection includes the articles of some officials and theoretician about oral history of sacrifice and martyrdom.

The lectures of Hojatoleslam Seyed Mohammad Ali Shahidi Mahalati, the director of Foundation of Martyrs and Sacrificers Affairs and Hojatoleslam Ahmad Mazani, the Deputy of Research and Cultural Relations of the Foundation, and the lecture of Ali Reza Kamari, the secretary of this gathering are presented in the first part.

 “The Oral History of Sacrifice and Martyrdom” collection is published to compose a reference collection through the efforts of the document center of the Foundation of Martyrs and Sacrificers affairs and Iranian Society of Oral History in 940 pages by Shahed publications.

The collections of the articles of the fourth and fifth sessions of the oral history were published under the titles of “Interview in Oral History” and “Methodology and Searching for Subjects in Urban-studying Oral History”, respectively. The collections of the seventh and eighth sessions are also under publications by Document Organization and National Library of Iran and Document Center of Islamic Parliament of Iran.
