Pilots narrate Sacred Defense memories

Oral history of the Sacred Defense is being recorded by a number of the pilots of the war, said director of the Theoretical and Strategic Studies office of the army's air force.

IBNA: Commander Hussein Chitforoush said the air force of the army has many unfathomed stories about the Sacred Defense era which should be addressed by the farce's veterans and commanders.

"The office will maintain its cause to record war history to manifest the role air force played in the Iraq-imposed war on Iran," he added expounding on the future plans of the office in the new year.

He said the Theoretical Research and Strategic Studies office of the Nehaja published seven titles last year. "Recently, we have begun the work on oral history of air force pilots of the Iranian armed forces to depict the role Nehaja played in different periods of the war," he added.

He highlighted the significance of conveying the experiences and lessons learned form the Sacred Defense by the force's pilots.

He went on to say that a 9-volume collection of books which is titled as the Daily Review of the Air Force during Sacred Defense will be published by the office by the end of the present year in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
