Life in Secure House!
The birth of the twins on September 30th 1974 brought us into a new stage of life. These heavenly gifts, Maryam and Zahra warmed our life. We had no free time and we think about nothing except how to grow our kids. Taking care of two kids at the same time was really hard. If one of them would sleep the other would wake her up by crying and if one of them was being fed by milk the other would begin crying of hunger.
Being full busy with the kids we forgot our promises for the activity for MKO. Finally one day Sepassi Ashtiani came and informed us that MKO had asked us to prepare and live in a secure secret house. At first I tried not to accept but finally by the pressure of MKO I gave in. Since I was working in iron junk company I had no time to look for a house. My wife accepted to do this job. Every day she would take one of our kids and look for a suitable house with several doors to escape. I introduced quarters that I believed to be good ones to look for a house in these quarters. After few days we found a house in Zarrin-Na’l Street. I went to the old landlord for renting the house. I told him my brother in law is a student and occasionally would come here and he accepted. This way I paved the way for Sepassi Ashtiani for coming there.
The day after signing the renting agreement, without giving address to anyone, we collected our luggage and moved to this house. Thus, I afforded the first principal request of MKO and also the main mistake of my whole life.
Although living openly was so hard for me but it was possible by being patient and careful. Beginning the new secret life brought new problems for me that was out of my patience. SAVAK had doubled its sensitivity about me. During those days they had gone to my father’s house several times and asked about me.
Living in a secret house was really hard with two babies. So, we asked my mother in law to take care of one of twins (Maryam) and took the other one (Zahra) home. After settlement in that house they chose the pseudonym of Shapour for me and Shapourzadeh for my wife.
After being officially linked to MKO and beginning the secret life, Sepassi cut his contacts with us and introduced someone named Habib (1) to us as the new middle figure between us and MKO. After some days, MKO introduced two people with the pseudonyms of Khosrow and Parviz as other members of our team to come to our secure house. Later in spring of 1978 we found out these two were brothers and their real names were Ali (2) and Ali-Asghar and their family name was Mirza Ja’far Allaf. These two would come to our house every morning and take part in educational political meetings and at nights would go back to their own or team houses. The behavior of these two would never reveal that they were brothers and would always take care about obeying the Islamic rules toward my wife and me.
Our five- member team began its crush course of activities by the leadership of Habib. One of these activities was reading book and then discussing it. The books such as “The Red China”, “The Yellow Reds”, “Fly”, “The Laughing Man”, “The Fights of Che”, “Marxism’s Alphabet” and … were among the one we read and discussed in this period. The other program was taking tours in the city of Tehran to find and know the runaway ways for escaping from the hands of agents. These tours made us more acquainted about the structure of the town and the culture of people around it.
In theoretical classes they would teach us strict obedience from the higher rank official and MKO orders. We had to use them in actual life. The organizations’ interests and activity were higher than individuals’ affairs. MKO would consider its success depended to strict obedience of its orders. We would even program our daily affairs based on the interests of MKO. MKO would even take part my salary from iron junk company.
Once MKO ordered me to afford a big amount of money and when I faced with problems to prepare that money, they even suggested me to steal it. They would justify this action as a kind of confiscation. I accepted what they said and afford to gather about 270 Rials and deliver it to MKO. (3) This way I showed my faithfulness to MKO.

1) Seyyed Mehdi Mousavi Qumi was born in Qum in 1951. He passed his elementary and high school education there. His first social- religious activity was membership in Vali-Asr Circle in Qum. In 1970 he entered Industrial University to study chemistry engineering. In the second year of his university education he got acquainted with MKO and became a member of it. On 21th of April 1976 he committed suicide in an armed conflict with the Shah’s regime agents by eating Cyanide.
2- Ali Mirza Jafar Allaf was born in a religious family in 1943 in Tehran. After finishing elementary school he stopped studying and began working in a shop.
Along with his brother, Ali Asghar, they would take part in religious circles and particularly in Husseyniyyeh Ershad to hear the speeches by Dr. Shari’ati. In 1973 he joined MKO.
3- Mr. Ahmad is really sorry about his attempt here. He later understood what a wrong action it was but there was no way possible to compensate. He even did not find the face to talk about the matter with Haj Tahsili and Haji Baba and asking their forgiveness. Narrating this memory is a chance to reveal the dirty actions by MKO and also asking God’s forgiveness. He hopes that God may have forgiven him.
