Second Iranian Oral History Conference Call

Documents Research Center of National Library & Archives of I.R. Iran will hold the Second Iranian Oral History Conference on the 30th anniversary of Holy Defense (Iran-Iraq War), mainly considering the oral history of this event with the partnership of Research Center of Holy Defense Studies, Islamic Development Organization Academy of Arts, The Organization Of Libraries, Museums and Documentation Center Of Astan-Quds-Razavi, Library, Museum and Documents Center of Islamic Consultative Assembly, Islamic Revolution Documents Center, The Institute for Iranian Contemporary Historical Studies, Coordination Assembly of Documentary and Historiographical Research Centers (Mahtab), Isfahan University History Department, and Iranian Oral History Association on September 29-30, 2010. The aim of this conference is to spread the oral history knowledge and cooperation between the active centers in this regard and honoring Holy Defense Great Warriors. The main subjects of this conference are as follow:
1- Holy Defense Oral History (in the frontline, behind the frontline, POWs, narrators, …)
2- Oral History Pathology
3- Oral History Output in Contemporary Researches
All the interested people in "Oral History," Archivists, Historians, Sociologists, and other researchers are invited to submit their papers about the above-mentioned subjects. Other oral history related subjects can also be considered for the conference.
