The story of protesting against Majidi in the university

The court dealt with accusation, defense and interrogation and did not issue any verdict. The university's Disciplinary Committee issued the expulsion verdict. When we came back from there, they handed over the verdict to us a few days later and we were expelled; they did not allowed us to stay in the dorm. Even, we were not allowed to take the final term exams.

The memoirs of Mohammad Ali Haji Moniri in the last episode went forward until he talked about his uncle Abbas Qoli Haji Moniri: “He became the deputy governor of Khorasan Province and deputy custodian of Astan Qods Razavi and the head of land endowments. You know that the land endowments are the largest endowments of Astan-e Qods Razavi even in Tehran. He was the head of land endowments of Astan-e Qods during the revolution too."

44 people were arrested and a list handed over to SAVAK

In the previous section, interview with Mohammad Ali Haji Moniri got to 3rd of December 1977 and what happened on that day. He said, “Before the noon, the guards attacked dormitory no. 10 with the shields and batons although they continued to throw stones. We were among those who were down the building, standing in front of the entrance. A lot of students were inside the building. When the guards attacked, we went inside but did not go up. We guessed we might be arrested. So we went again inside dormitory no. 9.”

Valiollah Ahmadi, 72, has a thick voice that betrays an enormous bulk of life experiences in his chest. He walks with a stick and never shaves the smile on his face. He lives in an old neighborhood in the central western city of Arak and is spending his retirement with his wife. He is but an active man and never misses a religious gathering.

An interview with Mohammad Ali Haj Moniri

Mohammad Fadaee was among those who were fired from the university. According to the charges taken against Mohammad Fadaee, he was a given a verdict in the first year of the university who was fired for ever. Ali Enayat Zadeh and Abdolreza Abolhassan Choubdar were sentenced to one year of exclusion from education. Mohammad Ali Haji Moniri was the fourth one.

I was in charge of management of this department. There were two departments for contract. We sent a telex and had to code it. I had the codes for both departments. I had my tenure as manager of treasury and financial manager of the bank. For instance, if I felt that USD 10 million is needed somewhere I would send a telex to the bank requesting the amount and it was done. The relevant bank would announce the rate and we would accept and place the order for action.

As long as I can remember, graffiti was just doing in the toilets and I can’t remember elsewhere that I have seen. It should be noted, of course, that political climate of year 57 (1978-79) and initial state of revolution is another issue, and it is not our intended purpose. We are talking about those times. I mean the time of year 56 (1977-78), in month of Mehr, Aban, and Azar (October, November, and December).

Another event that happened in Khuzestan Province and I followed up was the Arab People Committee. One day, we were informed that the Arabs had set up a committee special for themselves. At that time, I had less information about the Arab People , but knew well that dividing the people into Arab and non-Arab was a harmful measure.
Book Review

Kak-e Khak

The book “Kak-e Khak” is the narration of Mohammad Reza Ahmadi (Haj Habib), a commander in Kurdistan fronts. It has been published by Sarv-e Sorkh Publications in 500 copies in spring of 1400 (2022) and in 574 pages. Fatemeh Ghanbari has edited the book and the interview was conducted with the cooperation of Hossein Zahmatkesh.

Is oral history the words of people who have not been seen?

Some are of the view that oral history is useful because it is the words of people who have not been seen. It is meant by people who have not been seen, those who have not had any title or position. If we look at oral history from this point of view, it will be objected why the oral memories of famous people such as revolutionary leaders or war commanders are compiled.
