The Memories of War in the Month of Muharram; Mourning was Different in Year 1363(1684)

Fighting in the frontage of war in those days and nights included of special memoirs. In the meantime, some memories were created in special days and nights such as the days of mourning for the Master of Martyrs (Hussain ibn Ali) in frontage of war that it will never be forgotten over time. In an interview with oral history, Javad Aligoli who was a eulogist for household of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and as a publicist for set of 27th Division of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during the Sacred Defense told about the climate of war in the month of Muharram in those years.

Shakh-e Shemiran, Shiller and end of war

On hearing the phrase “Sacred Defense”, armed men come to the mind of the audiences; those who rushed to the battle fronts to defend their country. But alongside these self-sacrificed men, there were other people whose arm was the accessories for healing the wounds of the combatants. They were close to Iranian forces and commanders in every operation, risking their life to save the life of the wounded. The Iranian Oral History website in an interview with Seyed Qassem Hashemian, the relief worker of Shohada Special Brigade from Khorasan Province has reviewed his memoirs of the eight-year Iraqi imposed war against Iran. He is now a physician in the Art Center.

My father, Ali Mohammad Moghaddas Jafari, was from Borujerd. My grandfather (Mohammad Bagher Moghaddasi Jafari), with along Ayatollah Borujerdi, was one of famous clergymen of Borujerd in the age of Reza Shah. The father quoted that my mother was arrested for having a tent and rule of ban on hijab in the age of Reza Shah. He called and threatened the commander of the army of Borujerd that if you did not free my daughter in law, I would act individually against you. Whereas my grandfather was a well-known person, my mother was brought home with a military jeep after an hour.

During the sacred defense years, Mohammad Majidi went to the war fronts in order to take part in one of the phases of Karbala 5 Operation. But only ten days after his presence in the front, he was taken as captive by the Iraqi Bathist enemy forces and spent four years out of the best years of his life in the camps of Saddams army. With Rahim Ghomeishi, of breaking the siege of Abadan to the years whom was considered missing

No one knew I was alive

Rahim Gomeishi, born in Khuzestan, in earliest days of the imposed war of Iraq against Iran Voluntarily dispatched to the holy defense fronts. In December 25, 1986, and at the beginning of Operation Karbala- 4 he was arrested by Saddams Army and spent 4 years of his life in the situation. As deputy of Karbalas battalion of brigade 1 of Vali-e Asrs Army 7 states in his memories, he and his companions, till the last moment before being captive, hadnt any imagination of captivity and after encountering enemies corps were awaiting martyrdom all the time.

Another event that happened in Khuzestan Province and I followed up was the Arab People Committee. One day, we were informed that the Arabs had set up a committee special for themselves. At that time, I had less information about the Arab People , but knew well that dividing the people into Arab and non-Arab was a harmful measure.

Kak-e Khak

The book “Kak-e Khak” is the narration of Mohammad Reza Ahmadi (Haj Habib), a commander in Kurdistan fronts. It has been published by Sarv-e Sorkh Publications in 500 copies in spring of 1400 (2022) and in 574 pages. Fatemeh Ghanbari has edited the book and the interview was conducted with the cooperation of Hossein Zahmatkesh.

Is oral history the words of people who have not been seen?

Some are of the view that oral history is useful because it is the words of people who have not been seen. It is meant by people who have not been seen, those who have not had any title or position. If we look at oral history from this point of view, it will be objected why the oral memories of famous people such as revolutionary leaders or war commanders are compiled.
